Horrifying Details: How Father On The Run Allegedly Murdered His 3 Little Girls

This is just awful. The story was already unthinkable, but hearing the details… Dear lord…

If you haven’t heard yet, three young sisters who were reported missing by their mother were tragically found dead. Court documents revealed Whitney Decker had reached out to police quickly last Friday when her ex didn’t return with the girls. Travis Decker, who had some mental health struggles, was only supposed to have three hours with his daughters Paityn Decker, 9, Evelyn Decker, 8, and Olivia Decker, 5. But the 32-year-old dad (pictured above) didn’t return on time — and didn’t respond to Whitney’s calls.

Travis was living out of his truck, so the search began at local motels and campgrounds. Authorities found his truck, a white, 2017 GMC Sierra pickup, abandoned at the Rock Island Campground near Leavenworth, Washington. It had bloody handprints on it. About 75-100 yards away, down an embankment, investigators found the bodies of all three girls. And here’s where it gets horrific, so brace yourselves…

We learned early on the girls were thought to have died from asphyxiation. According to KXLY, each girl had a plastic bag over her head. Their wrists appeared to have ligature marks consistent with plastic ties. And the story that tells is just… unimaginably cruel:

This man zip-tied his daughters and put plastic bags over their heads until they suffocated.

Investigators found more plastic bags and zip-ties in the truck. There was also phone data showing Travis traveled to the area on Thursday before returning with the girls on Friday. That implies he may have scouted the spot and planned it all in advance. Just horrifying to consider.

This is all just so hard to read. How could a man do this to his children?

Police are asking anyone with any information that could help find Travis to contact them. He is described as 5 foot 8 inches, 190 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. They warn he is “former Military with extensive training” and should be “considered dangerous.” For more see the full press release (below):
