- FreshDirect has launched its first physical pop-up, FreshDirect on Main, in Southampton, NY, open through December 2025.
- The store offers a variety of local produce, prepared foods, wine, coffee, and specialty items from regional farms, including Homestead Acres and Deer Run Farms.
- FreshDirect on Main will also be hosting community events like wine and cheese tastings, pizza-making classes, and a kids’ program called “Tiny Tastemakers.”
FreshDirect, the online grocer founded in 2002 and now owned by Turkish delivery company Getir, has long been known for delivering premium groceries directly to customers’ doors. Partnering with farmers, growers, and suppliers, the company offers high-quality meat, seafood, produce, and a wide variety of grocery brands.
On May 22, FreshDirect announced the launch of its first-ever brick-and-mortar location: FreshDirect on Main. Located at 70 Main Street in Southampton, New York, the store officially opened over Memorial Day weekend and will remain open through the end of December.
To celebrate the opening, FreshDirect hosted a grand opening event this past Saturday that welcomed local residents, families, and community leaders.

“One of the day’s highlights was the vibrant farmstand, where attendees could shop and bring home beautiful, fresh fruits and vegetables — completely free of charge,” Lauren Jangl, the brand’s director of public relations, shared with Food & Wine. “FreshDirect was thrilled to connect with the local community in such a meaningful way.”
Ultimately, the pop-up wants to make fresh, high-quality food more accessible to the neighborhood it serves. “With FreshDirect on Main, we’re bringing our online marketplace to life, offering customers a more personal, immersive, and interactive way to experience our brand,” Metin Hacıoğlu, FreshDirect’s deputy CEO, said in a statement provided to Food & Wine.
Beyond that, FreshDirect on Main aims to be more than just a grocery store — it’s designed to function as a local gathering place. The store plans to host a range of community-focused experiences, including wine and cheese tastings, ice cream socials, pizza-making classes, and a kids’ program called “Tiny Tastemakers.”
“Long Island has always been home to some of the Northeast’s best farms, artisans, and purveyors, and it felt only natural to open our first store in the heart of Southampton,” Hacıoğlu said. “From day one, we’ve believed in the power of local, partnering with those who share our passion for quality, sustainability, and flavor.”
Open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., the store is styled like a farmers market and features a curated selection of local and farm-fresh produce, premade foods, wine and beer, small-batch olive oils, cheeses, and seasonal items from regional farms, including Homestead Acres and Deer Run Farms.
Inside, customers can also enjoy coffee beverages from New York-based Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee, along with FreshDirect’s specialty baked goods such as croissants and other prepared foods.
In designing the concept for this pop-up, FreshDirect clearly emphasized not only product offerings and grocery services, but also creating a welcoming space for community interaction.
“This new space is a celebration of that spirit, where the best of our region comes together with the convenience, quality, and care FreshDirect is known for,” said Hacıoğlu.
Turns out, FreshDirect’s first store isn’t just about what’s on your plate — it’s also about putting down roots.
