OBB Media Expands Operations to New York City

OBB Media, the shingle behind Netflix’s “A Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter,” has expanded to New York City, opening offices in Union Square.

OBB Media opened vertically integrated stage, production and post facility OBB Studios in the heart of Hollywood in 2023.

“Expanding OBB across the country to New York as we open our first east coast offices is an exciting milestone in our company’s growth trajectory,” said Michael D. Ratner, founder & CEO of OBB Media. “OBB officially offering bicoastal capabilities will allow us to be closer to many of our partners, accelerate our branded content business, Bolded, and expand our ability to deliver best in class storytelling across
TV, film, branded content, live experiences, and the merging of all these worlds.”

Added Scott Ratner, OBB Media co-founder and COO, “We’ve spent the past 9 years building OBB into the unique organization that it is by prioritizing storytelling for the audiences of today no matter the form or format. This expansion represents an exciting opportunity to accelerate that work even further.”

OBB Media’s recent projects include Demi Lovato’s directorial debut, the documentary “Child Star” (Hulu), “iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball Special” and the Peabody- and Emmy-nominated film “Mountain Queen” (Netflix).

The company’s branded content studio, Bolded, has been behind such projects as “Cold as Balls With Kevin Hart” for Old Spice, Hailey Bieber’s “Who’s in my Bathroom?” for her skin-care line rhode and “Cards on the Table With Stanley Tucci” for Allbirds.

“Cards,” a four-part series, sees Tucci as host of a dinner party who launches fun and surprisingly deep discussions driven by a deck of cards curated by psychoanalyst Orna Guralnik of Showtime’s “Couple’s Therapy.” Episodes featured Tan France of “Queer Eye,” Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz and pop star Mel C., Henry Golding, Molly Ringwald, Sophie Turner, Hasna Minhaj and Laufey, among others.

The branded content have amassed more than 3 billion views collectively.

OBB has also upped three staffers. Elias Tanner, Kfir Goldberg and Simone Spira, have been elevated to senior executive roles. Elias Tanner has been elevated to the role of senior VP of strategy & growth; Kfir Goldberg has been tapped senior VP of creative development & production; and Simone Spira takes the post of VP of creative development & production. In their new roles, all three will continue to lead key projects and initiatives across both Los Angeles and New York, guiding the bi-coastal team alongside Michael D. Ratner and Scott Ratner.
