Taylor Swift Falls From First To Last Place On A Billboard Chart

Taylor Swift is accustomed to ruling the Billboard charts, but even she can’t always be in charge. The singer-songwriter topped several rankings just a few days ago, but this week, she slips from the highest rung, falling to last place on one tally.

Lover: Live From Paris returned to the Vinyl Albums chart last week out of the blue. The project became a bestseller again after Swift surprise-dropped more vinyl copies of the set and also made it available to download. Fans rushed to get their hands on a copy, and they collectively sent the title to No. 1 on the list of the bestselling projects on wax throughout the U.S.

Just one week later, sales of Lover: Live From Paris have cratered, especially on vinyl. Swift’s live recording tumbles from No. 1 to No. 25, on the Vinyl Albums chart, which happens to be last place on the ranking.

Lover: Live From Paris is also on the downswing on another Billboard roster it ruled last period. Swift earned one more winner on the Top Album Sales chart with the year-plus-old set, but now it’s stepped outside of the top 40. It currently resides at No. 42.

The same live album experienced an even more dramatic decline on the Billboard 200. Lover: Live From Paris missed out on the top spot last frame, coming in behind Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos. Now, as he rules again, her full-length has disappeared completely.

Last week, sales of Lover: Live From Paris numbered just over 202,000 copies. The following frame, that number shrunk by nearly 99% to almost 2,300 sales.

This is a surprisingly quiet frame for Swift on the Vinyl Albums chart, which is usually one roster where she claims a number of spaces. Lover: Live From Paris is her only title on the ranking at the moment, and it’s barely hanging on, and will likely disappear when Billboard refreshes its tallies in a few days.
