VMAs UFO Dress
Swift served some major y3k looks at the 2024 VMAs with this jeweled UFO dress. “We love a mini dress, high boot situation,” Vargas says. To recreate the look at home, Vargas suggests pairing thigh-high boots with just about any mini dress—bonus points if they’re covered in gems!
Golden Globes Green Dress
Swift was glimmering in green for the Golden Globes this year, and everyone’s eyes were on her (for good reason). Plus, it’s nearly impossible to go wrong with a simple column dress, Vargas says. “You can recreate this with any fitted dress with an open back.”
U.S. Open Dress
In between performances of her record-breaking Eras Tour, Swift spent her days off with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. At the U.S. Open, Swift flaunted a pinkish plaid dress that instantly made headlines for perfectly aligning with the event’s theme. “Reformation is a classic go-to brand with brick and mortar stores as well as online shopping, so you can find this exact dress,” Vargas says. “Taylor is queen at matching her outfit for the event, and a flowing skirt or dress for a sporting event is spot on.”
Super Bowl Outfit
To commemorate one of the biggest nights in professional sports, Swift wore an all-black outfit that had fans reeling over the iconic look. “She took wearing regular jeans to the next level and made them a fashion statement,” Vargas says. “Looking for jeans with a pop of details can help you achieve this look. Whether it’s in the pockets or hem, adding something unique can elevate your go-to jeans look.” Just like Swift, don’t be afraid to pair this look with a matching corset-style top.
Street Style White Set
Swift spent this year’s scorching summer wearing flowy, light-colored outfits—and the results were beloved by viewers. A two-piece set is the perfect way to make a monochrome outfit appear even more elevated, and Vargas suggests you top it off with something bold. “When you do have a matching look it’s important to add something else visually interesting to go with it to break it up, especially if it’s a solid color like white on white,” she says. “This can be a statement piece of jewelry, or as Taylor does here, her iconic red lip.”
Grammy’s 2024
Besides winning two Grammys for her 10th studio album, Midnights, Swift graced the red carpet with a classy white dress paired with black velvet gloves. “This look works great because the matching skirt has a long train, so if she had a lot of fabric up by her shoulders and neck paired with [it], it would be a lot of dress,” Vargas says. “This gives some pop of skin and breaks up the overall look.”
Eras Tour Bejeweled Bodysuit
Swift’s royal blue bodysuit was one of many iconic outfits from the Eras tour. Amongst a carousel of over 60 costumes, this one was a crowd favorite. “Taylor has absolutely nailed this look and made it her own,” Vargas says. “You can recreate this with a corset-looking top or bodysuit that has all these embellishments. This is the perfect fun look for a special event or night out with the girls!”
Grey Hooded Maxi Dress
Talk about cozy and chic! Swift sported a sweater dress very early on this year, making strides between Electric Lady Studios and her New York City apartment. “The combo compliments her and is really flattering, but [it’s] also functional to keep her warm,” Vargas says. “Sweater dresses are everywhere this season and a staple for any winter closet.” You heard it here first—it’s time to start hunting down the perfect sweater dress.
Plaid Super Bowl Romper
Swift attended almost every single Kansas City Chiefs game this year, but not without making a fashion statement during each appearance. The superstar paired this romper with a gold necklace, high pony, and face glitter to add some glam to the ‘fit—and people loved it. “Let’s talk about corsets and Taylor Swift; she has been rocking them over and over again, and they are absolutely trending because of her,” Vargas says. “It’s great inspo to get a staple corset for your outfit and rotate it to create multiple looks from the same top.”
