The Best Meal Prep Containers Are From Pyrex

I think we can all agree that weekdays are a bit chaotic. Our routines, though varied, seem to squeeze in every last task in any way possible. That’s just how it is when you’re striving for that work-life balance. One non-negotiable thing for me is eating a home-cooked meal 80% every week. It’s tough to do, but when you have meal prep on your side and a collection of great recipes, it’s entirely possible.

Since my make-ahead prep looks different each week, depending on what I’m making, these Pyrex containers make it all possible. They have become the most helpful tool for keeping my food prep fresh and fuss-free. And they’re just under $4 apiece.

We tested this storage set and loved them for their smart and fuss-free design. After trying these Pyrex containers, I agree they are the best glass containers I have tried. They are also durable, and we were surprised by their leakproof ability.

The brand’s signature high-tempered glass is stain- and odor-resistant, so I can chuck anything in them without worry. The containers are available in various sizes and shapes, including three 1-cup round containers, three 2-cup round containers, three 4-cup round containers, and three 3-cup round containers. I love the variety because it means I have an option for everything, from pre-cooked grains to homemade sauces.

I particularly love the small 1-cup containers, which are great for things like sauces, toasted nut toppings, and more. The rectangular containers are also perfect for leftover odds and ends and work wonderfully in the freezer because of their convenient shape.

Another feature I love is the BPA-free plastic lids that fit snugly to the glass rim, creating an airtight and fairly leak-proof design. The biggest plus of these lids is that there are no gaskets or latches to clean. I just wipe everything well with a soapy sponge, and they’re good to go — they also dry almost instantly. Because they’re color-coded, it’s easy to know which lid belongs to what container, too. Everything is microwave-safe, so I can reheat meals and ingredients right in the container if I need to. Even though they’re dishwasher-safe, I prefer to clean them by hand. Note: if you place them in the dishwasher, the lids should be on the top rack.

Since they’re weighty, I prefer not to take them on the go; instead, I use these plastic containers. However, their weight makes them so perfect for meal prep — they keep my food fresh, are easy to clean, and can last for years without showing signs of wear and tear. I can even mix ingredients and serve from the containers.

If you plan to meal prep this year, don’t do it without the Pyrex containers. They make every step of the process easy, whether you’re storing, eating, or cleaning them. Plus, they’re just $4 apiece.
