Lionel Richie is once again lighting up the Las Vegas Strip.
After a sold-out April engagement, the Grammy-winning legend has extended his hit residency, “Lionel Richie: King of Hearts” with a new string of dates at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas, where he’ll bring his soulful voice to iconic hits like “Hello,” “All Night Long” and “Dancing on the Ceiling.” The nine-show run kicks off April 9 with new shows added for October 15, 17, 18, 22, 24, and 25.
Tickets are currently available to purchase on a variety of resale sites, but the best place to avoid soaring costs and hidden fees is on StubHub, where tickets are available for as low as $155 as of this writing.
With over 100 million tickets across 200 countries and territories, StubHub offers more options than any other platform — even right up to (and sometimes after) the event starts. Its intuitive platform lets you find the perfect seat in just a few clicks, with flexible payment options like Apple Pay and PayPal. Plus, every purchase is backed by StubHub’s FanProtect Guarantee, so you can buy with total confidence.
In addition to revisiting his most beloved hits at the Wynn, the “American Idol” host also recently looked back nearly 40 years to the wondrous and chaotic memories of writing and recording the iconic track “We Are the World” for a new Netflix doc which made its world premiere at Sundance this past January.
Directed by Bao Nguyen, “The Greatest Night in Pop” goes back to Jan. 25, 1985, when 46 music icons — led by Richie, Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones — came together for a marathon eight-hour recording session of “We Are the World,” which is one of the 16 songs on his residency set list. The monumental collaboration was documented for the recording of the music video, but the new documentary includes massive amounts of new material, including retrospective interviews with Richie, Cyndi Lauper, Huey Lewis, Kenny Loggins, Sheila E., Smokey Robinson, Bruce Springsteen and Dionne Warwick, as well as never-before-heard recordings of Richie and Jackson writing the iconic song.
Meanwhile, Richie is also currently hosting the 23rd season of “American Idol,” which concludes on May 18.
