The UV-resistant cover took just 45 seconds to put on our couch and 30 seconds to remove. We were pleasantly surprised to find our couch cushions completely dry even after a long, soaking rainstorm. The cover also protected our couch during some minor snow accumulation. It appears to have protected our furniture from UV rays, and despite having a plethora of chipmunks around the backyard, we noticed no critter damage.

A drawstring cord kept the cover in place during 25 mph winds, but it was tricky to tighten. There are straps to help hold it in place, but they didn’t work with our couch’s design.

The cover may also be a bit short for a couch with tall legs, but we would recommend having the cover go all the way to the ground to prevent leaves from blowing under the sofa and rain from splashing up from the ground. You’ll want to measure your furniture before ordering and make sure the cover is at least two inches larger in length and width than your furniture.

We took a close look at the cover after six months and one year of being out in the rain and snow, noting any changes in quality. While it had some small dust and dirt marks at six months and a bit of green mildew on the outside after a year, it was practically in the same condition. After removing the cover, we were happy to see all marks were on the outside of the cover only, not our furniture.

We fit a wicker sectional (with four sections), a chair, and a fire pit table all under the Ruimoy and still had some room left. While we wish it were a bit longer so wind and animals couldn’t get underneath, we were shocked at the amount of furniture we could pile under it. It was also surprisingly easy to fit over all the furniture, taking just one person five minutes to cover everything.

For over a year, the F&J Outdoors extra-large cover hasn’t had to be cleaned or fixed, and it’s worked covering our table and four chairs from rain, wind, sun, and snow. Our chairs didn’t even fit under our table, but we were able to push them as close as possible and were pleasantly surprised that the cover had no problem protecting the entire set.

Thick enough to protect our dining set, but lightweight and easy to maneuver, the cover has strong stitches and seams, plus a waterproof coating. We did notice some water pooling on top of the chairs at one point, but realized it was due to the design of our chairs, and were able to fix it by putting a cinder block on the table to lift the cover. Once we did that, our chairs stayed dry, even though the cinching is not as tight as we would like, and some of the cover did blow off on a windy day.

After a year of daily use, the cover has successfully protected our furniture from snow, ice, wind, rain, and sun and shows no signs of wear and tear. We even used it to cover a couch, and it protected it just as well as it did our dining set.

Outdoor couches can be a cozy and relaxing addition to your patio, but they also require a pretty large furniture cover. If you have cushioned furniture, you’ll need to protect your outdoor cushions, even if you’re storing them in the garage or a storage shed. This storage bag covered all of our outdoor patio cushions, with plenty of room to spare, and keeps the cushions protected from excess water and pests while indoors.

We love that it’s tough enough to withstand outdoor elements but so lightweight that it’s easy to carry around even when full. Handles on the top and sides make moving it a breeze, and the thick bottom offers added protection. While it’s water resistant, it’s not waterproof, so you have to store it inside somewhere still.

Easy to open and close thanks to a zipper that moves in both directions, it took just a few minutes to unzip and load it up. We stored it in a basement over the winter, taking the cushions back out in the spring. The bag quality didn’t change after a year of use, and our cushions still look the same.

If you’d prefer to keep your cushions on the furniture when you cover them, you’ll want to go with a different cover like the Ultcover waterproof sofa cover. If you don’t mind taking an extra few minutes and have room to store them inside, though, we can’t recommend this bag enough.
