The Cutest Car Air Freshener, and 5 More Editor-Loved Clever Items

What’s infinitely better than a stale, ugly car air freshener hanging from your rearview mirror? This adorable, handmade, felted ducky. Plus, the Etsy vendor has all sorts of cutie animals and even some veggies you can choose from, so you’re always greeted by a mini buddy when you’re at the wheel. If I had a car I would definitely have one. Or five.

This week I also found a smart way to keep your bananas fresh for longer, my new favorite laundry detergent (no more pre-treating stains!), and scented stickers that add flavor to your water without any additives. Happy shopping!

Sniff ‘n Sip Scented Stickers

Maybe you’re not a fan of plain water or maybe you have a New Year’s resolution to drink more of it—either way, using these cool “flavor stickers” will change your H2O experience without any chemicals or additives! Since the majority of what we perceive as taste can actually be attributed to smell, these nifty stickers change what your water tastes like simply by scenting them. Stick one of these near your straw or opening of your bottle—they’re also especially helpful in encouraging kiddos to drink up!

A Boot Dryer

This time of year, there’s no shortage of cold, wet boots to contend with in your mud room. That’s why this handy shoe dryer is so essential—it uses thermal convection to eliminate dampness and odor from not only snowy boots, but also gloves, hats, and helmets.

A Lemon-Shaped Microwave Cleaner

Sure, there are other similar microwave cleaners on the market, but this one is so cute you won’t even care if you leave it out on the counter! Just fill it with white vinegar and water, pop it in your microwave, and let the steamy concoction get to work.

Banana-Saving “Hats”

These handy guys keep your bananas fresh for longer, so you don’t have to deal with mushy brown ones. The little “hats” come in two parts: a silicone cap that slows the absorption of ethylene gas (the stuff that makes your bananas ripen) that you put on the stems first, and the playful knit topper you pop over it.

The Cutest Air Freshener for Your Car

Who knew car air fresheners could be this adorable? These hand-felted guys are made in Ukraine and clip directly to your air vent. Add essential oils of your choice (you can add more or less depending on your preferences), which also makes them eco-friendly—no more disposable fresheners needed. Plus, check out all the other options the seller offers: from little spotted hens to mini highland cows and even some teensy croissants.

Your New Fave Laundry Detergent

I test a LOT of laundry products and this new detergent is one of my favorites! It has twice the cleaning power/Oxi power as a single pod, for starters (it’s twice the size). I was told when I received samples that I didn’t need to pre-treat stains before throwing my clothes in the wash. I was a little skeptical, but lo and behold, all my stuff came out stain-free! Another thing I appreciate is that the scent seems to linger a little longer than other detergents I’ve tested (which may or may not be your thing). I love that I can wear something multiple times and still smell like fresh laundry!
