The Junction Banandium Gem (banana) locations in Donkey Kong Bananza

In Donkey Kong Bananza, you’ll hit The Junction after completing the Forest or Freezer Layer. It’s another small layer, similar to The Divide, but it still has some Banandium Gems that can be tricky to find if you’re not paying attention.

The Junction is mostly just a small pathway forward and it’ll initially be covered with void goo. As you clean it up, more bananas and areas will reveal themselves, ripe for the taking. You will actually need to complete the story in both the Forest and Freezer Layers to continue in this area.

Below, we list where to find all of the Banandium Gems in The Divide we’ve found so far in Donkey Kong Bananza. We’re still updating this guide with more golden bananas as we find them.

We’ve found 13 Banandium Gems in Sublayer 700 in The Junction.

After you clear the void on the Freezer Layer path, head back to the area you dropped in from. You’ll see a gem sticking out of a now revealed lump of snow.

#2: Cooled Off Inflammonite!

This is acquired once you defeat the final boss of Freezer Layer. Jump down the hole and you’ll get an orange gem worth five bananas.

#3: Freezer Path’s Hidden Snack

Once you finish the Freezer Layer, follow the path down until you reach the void device. Smash it to clear the void in the area and then walk back up the path. You’ll now see a concrete wall on the wall opposite the void device. Either break it through regular means or let the turrets shoot it to get a gem inside.

This Banandium Gem is skipped over in the collection screen, which may mean that it requires beating the game first to unlock.

#5: Forest Path’s Birdbrain

After you clear the void on the Forest Layer path, head back to the area you dropped in from. You’ll see a gem sticking out the dirt snake’s head now.

After clearing the void on the Forest Layer path, you’ll see a gem in the wall across from the void device. This one is locked behind a wall, though, so you’ll have to climb all the way around to the other side to find an opening to reach it.

This Banandium Gem is skipped over in the collection screen, which may mean that it requires beating the game first to unlock.

#9: Cleared the Way to Clash Point!

Once you have cleared the void from both areas, walk down either of the diagonal stone paths towards the center area. Before you get there, you’ll notice a platform you can land on jutting out from the back of the central area. Jump down to it, break the wall within, and get a gem.

After clearing the void on the Freezer Layer path, take the stone pathway to the central area. Look down when you reach it and you’ll see a ruin that can be opened by paying the Constructone 600 gold. You’ll have to defeat two crockoids inside by drawing the turret’s fire into them.

Unlock the Ancient Ruin on the right side of the central area after clearing the void from the Forest Layer and paying the Constructone 1,000 gold. You’ll have to do an auto scroller level where you dodge turrets here. Pass the first stretch and you’ll get a gem.

From the above banana, look ahead to the next stretch. You’ll see a concrete wall that you need to pass through, but there’s a smaller concrete wall above that. Climb up there and let the turrets smash it to get a secret banana.

Ride all the way to the end of the ruins and you’ll get this banana at the very end near the exit as usual.

#15: Cranky’s Junction Rant

While standing on the area above the teeleporter gong, look way up in the sky. You’ll see two floating platforms. Throw a dirt chunk at the top one to bring Rambi down and access the one behind it easier. Bring down the second platform with another dirt chunk to find Cranky Kong.
