Chrissy Metz is joining the cast of an upcoming streaming series!

The 44-year-old actress is best known for her role on the dramatic series This Is Us. Now, Chrissy is joining the cast of an upcoming Apple TV+ series based on the Joona Linna series by Lars Kepler.

Chrissy joins Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, Stephen Graham, Bill Camp, and Rory Culkin who were already announced to be cast in the series.

Apple shared the description for the series, which reads as follows: The project tells the story of Jonah Lynn (Liev), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who, tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in Western Pennsylvania for a quiet life. But, as the town and his family come under attack from the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter (Stephen), Jonah must protect all that he holds dear. When the desperate search for Jurek’s last missing victim forces Jonah to send his adopted daughter FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Zazie) up against Jurek, how far will Jonah go?”

Variety reports that Chrissy will be playing Ida, a single mother whose life is turned upside down after her children go missing.
