‘Thrown Around & Manhandled’: Jennifer Lopez Emotionally Reveals Abusive Past Relationships In New Doc

Jennifer Lopez opens up about the most difficult chapters in her life in her new documentary.

The 54-year-old singer gets very candid about some tough topics in The Greatest Love Story Never Told, including being in abusive relationships in the past. And she does not hold back on how bad it was, Perezcious readers. Jennifer shares she was “thrown around and manhandled” by some former partners, saying:

“There were people in my life who said ‘I love you’ and then didn’t do things that were kind of in line with the word love. You have to hit rock bottom where you’re in situations so uncomfortable and so painful that you finally go, ‘I don’t want this anymore.’”

At the time, the Hustlers star felt like she was “looking through fog” while she tried to get out of the “rough” situation. But it wasn’t until a therapist asked her how she’d react if her daughter had been in an abusive relationship that things began to change for her. Jennifer says:

“It was so clear. I’d tell her get the f**k out of here and never look back, but for me, it was so clouded and complicated.”

Sad that she couldn’t see how bad it was for her until she thought of it happening to her little girl. She continues:

“Being thrown around and manhandled like that is not fun. I mean, I was never in a relationship where I got beat up, thank God, but I’ve definitely been manhandled and a couple of other unsavory things. Rough. Disrespectful.”

Just awful.

The Let’s Get Loud artist, who is currently married to Ben Affleck, did not reveal who had been abusive toward her. Of course, we know she previously was married to Marc Anthony, Ojani Noa, and Cris Judd. Notable past boyfriends include Diddy, Alex Rodriguez, and Casper Smart. Of those names, one jumps out. Diddy has recently been accused of a lot of abusive behavior… But again, J.Lo does not say who she’s talking about, so it would be irresponsible to speculate.

We applaud J.Lo for bravely sharing her story. Reactions? Let us know in the comments.
