Tim Walz to Make Debut Appearances on ‘The View’ and ‘The Daily Show’

Gov. Tim Walz will continue the Harris-Walz campaign media blitz with debut appearances on “The View” and “The Daily Show.”

Kamala Harris’ running mate will appear on both shows on Monday, Oct. 21.

Walz recently made his debut appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “Good Morning America,” “60 Minutes,” and “SmartLess.” The Minnesota governor also returned to Fox News Sunday on Oct. 13 for the second weekend in a row.

Vice Pres. Harris’ appearance on “The View” on Oct. 8 averaged 3.143 million viewers, making it the most watched telecast of the ABC chat show since Feb. 15, 2021. Her appearance also marked Harris’ first live interview and first talk show appearance since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. She was interviewed by “View” hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro.

The guest spot repped Harris’ eighth appearance on “The View,” having most recently appeared before that in January. Her appearance followed Pres. Joe Biden’s “The View” visit on Sept. 25, which had up until that point been the show’s most-watched telecast of the season.

On Thursday, Oct.17, the first day of early voting in North Carolina, Bill Clinton is joining Walz at a rally in Durham. Walz’s Monday appearances on “The View” and “The Daily Show” will be followed by campaigning with Barack Obama in Madison Wisconsin on Tuesday for that state’s first day of early voting.

Harris recently was interviewed on Wednesday, Oct. 16, on Fox News on “Special Report With Bret Baier.”

“Let me be very clear: My presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency,” Harris said. “Like every new president that comes into office, I will bring my life experiences, my professional experiences, and fresh and new ideas. I represent a new generation of leadership.”

At a Town Hall Wednesday with undecided Latino voters, hosted by Univision, Donald Trump defended the baseless claims about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, eating their neighbors’ pets. He notably repeated the debunked rumor during the presidential debate in September.
