Unscripted Exec Anneka Jones Joins ‘Quiet on Set’ Producer Maxine

Sony’s unscripted studio Maxine Productions is adding to its executive team.

Anneka Jones has been named executive vp development and current at Maxine, whose productions include ID’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV and Prime Video’s Glitter and Greed: The Lisa Frank Story. Jones’ hiring marks a reunion for her with Maxine founder Mary Robertson; they previously worked together at Left/Right.

“Having been fortunate to work alongside Anneka for over a decade at Left/Right, I know firsthand the qualities for which she has become recognized around the industry,” Robertson said in a statement. “She is a dynamic, versatile executive and producer, capable of combining journalistic rigor with strong commercial instincts. Her addition marks a pivotal moment for Maxine, as we build on a wave of successes and invest in an ambitious nonfiction slate. I look forward to our next chapter together.”

Said Jones, “I am thrilled to join forces with Mary, a long-time friend and collaborator, as well as her incredible team at Maxine. I am honored to have the opportunity to build upon the company’s remarkable success by expanding its production capacity and accelerating its creative efforts.”

Jones spent 20 years at Left/Right, most recently as chief content officer. During her time there, the company produced documentaries and series including Showtime’s The Circus, FX’s The New York Times Presents, HBO’s Celtics City, installments of Frontline at PBS and several shows for HGTV. Prior to joining Left/Right, Jones worked on MTV’s docuseries Choose or Lose and True Life.

Maxine’s slate also includes ID and HBO Max’s The Fall of Diddy, Peacock’s Girls Gone Wild: The Untold Story and June, a documentary about June Carter Cash, at Paramount+.
