Val Kilmer – ‘Top Gun’ & ‘Batman Forever’ Actor Dies at 65 | RIP, Val Kilmer | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

Val Kilmer has sadly passed away.

The 65-year-old actor, popularly known for starring as Iceman in Top Gun, died on Tuesday (April 1) in Los Angeles, his daughter Mercedes Kilmer revealed.

Mercedes shared with The New York Times that Val passed after a bout of pneumonia.

In 2014, Val was diagnosed with throat cancer, but revealed in 2017 that he had “a healing of cancer.”

The actor underwent a tracheostomy to help in his recovery and in the 2021 documentary, VAL, he was seen using a device to help him speak.

Val had an illustrious career that started in the 1980s. He appeared in several films, including Top Gun, Willow, Tombstone, Batman Forever, Heat, The Prince of Egypt, Mindhunters and many more. He also made several appearances on TV shows like Entourage, Numb3rs, Knight Rider and Psych.
