Ian Bohen Teases Yellowstone Will Have ‘Best Series Finale in History’

Ian Bohen is hoping to get fans excited about the forthcoming series finale of Yellowstone.

The actor, who plays Ryan in the hit Western show, recently teased in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that “fans are going to get the [best] conclusion that could possibly be written.”

“Everything will land in a way that is perfectly set,” he continued. “A lot of shows just kind of finish… and they don’t satisfy you. This will be completed in a way that it will make sense.”

Though little has been released about part two of the fifth and final season — after part one premiered last year — The Independent recently reported that production for the rest of the season is set to begin in May, as the scripts are already written.

“I don’t know that any show has finished this strongly ever,” Bohen added of the Yellowstone finale. “We’re expecting to have the best series finale in history. Overconfident maybe, but I think that’s what it’s going to be. We thank everyone for their patience… It’ll be worth the wait, I promise.”

Earlier this week, Luke Grimes shared his thoughts on his onscreen dad Kevin Costner‘s seemingly controversial departure from the show, saying while it was “unfortunate,” he understands the actor’s decision.

“Whatever happened there is unfortunate if it’s changed anything about how the show was going to unfold,” the actor, who plays Kayce Dutton, told The Independent. “I know, [Costner] got busy with his movies that were like passion projects [including the recently announced Horizon: An American Saga]. At a certain point, you gotta do what you gotta do, man; you gotta do what you love.”

While Costner’s lead character’s (John Dutton III) fate in the Taylor Sheridan co-created series is unknown at this point, he has previously expressed interest in returning for the final episodes. However, it seems fans will just have to wait and see how the show wraps up.
