White Lotus Alum Jason Isaacs Accuses Movie Star Of Being 'The Worst Bully' On Set!

Oh man, we love us some Jason Isaacs!

Not only does he have a fantastic voice and a totally respectable penis… he’s also a messy bitch who loves to spread the goss! Just like us!

He teased all that drama behind the scenes of The White Lotus before it was even on everyone’s radar. But that wasn’t the first time he’s shown he’s willing to drop hints about actor behavior. A while back he mentioned offhandedly in an interview that a co-star once pushed him around during filming. Well, in his latest profile, the interviewer dug a little deeper… and may have struck gold!

Vulture asked about his previous mention of an actor pushing him out of a shot, and Jason responded:

“Oh Jesus. Did worse than that. Was the worst bully ever and a global icon. Did all the old tricks of doing a completely different performance off-camera than on. Yeah, it sucked.”

He added that he’d been a big fan before that, too!

“I’d never seen anything like it. Before, I would’ve licked the ground that this person walked on.”

Damn. Of course we’re all left trying to guess which “global icon” he was talking about. Naturally the first instinct is Mel Gibson, to whom he played sneering villain in The Patriot. We’ve all heard about Mel’s bad behavior in the years since then. But no, that doesn’t fit.

See, Jason has hinted at this one a couple other times. In a 2011 Telegraph article, the interviewer lamented the performer was entertaining everyone with “sadly unprintable” stories, including “one anecdote about an actor that kept on trying to push him out of the shot.” That was the first time anyone heard about it. Then in 2020 he mentioned to Backstage mag the time “one famous, late, knighted actor literally physically shoved me out of the shot with his elbows.”

OK, so it happened before 2011, the actor has passed, he was a knight… Who qualifies?

Well, if you still hold a special place in your heart for the Harry Potter films (despite their author’s evolution into a weird transphobic crusader), maybe leave it a mystery and skip ahead? Because to us the number one suspect now is Richard Harris, the beloved original portrayer of Dumbledore.

Harris was an esteemed British icon late in life, but earlier on he was a bit of a wild man. And supposedly he wasn’t at all the gentle genius he was playing. Fellow Potter star Miriam Margolyes (who gives even less of a fig than Jason) claimed in a 2021 interview that he once told her to “f**k off” on set. Can you imagine Dumbledore being so rude? But that’s the tea…

Obvi we don’t know if Jason’s bad experience was with Harris. But we want to! And we’re not alone! The Vulture interviewer actually asked one last time for more, but the vet actor rebuffed the request in truly delicious fashion:

“I’m not so stupid as to even give hints or clues about who those people are. I recently interviewed a friend, who’s a wonderful author, at a book fair, and someone came up and said, ‘I’m from Penguin. You tell stories very well. You ever thought about writing a memoir?’ And I went, ‘Not in a million f**king years until everybody I know is dead.’ Because I have stories. I know where all the bodies are buried.”

Well, that’s something to look forward to. Elderly Jason Isaacs just not giving any f**ks anymore and spilling all the tea! LOLz! And he wants to, that’s for sure!

“I often fantasize about doing a junket and telling the truth, and when I win the lottery, possibly that will be the case. But there is no value, other than masochism and sabotage, in telling people the truth about people I’ve worked with or experiences I’ve had. Acting is all about secrets.”

Fine. Keep your secret, Jason Isaacs. For now.
