Will Smith is mourning the passing of Quincy Jones.
On Monday morning (November 4), the Jones family announced that the legendary producer and composer had passed away at the age of 91.
Following the news of Quincy‘s passing, the 56-year-old Oscar-winning actor, who landed his role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with Quincy‘s help, took to Instagram to honor the legend.

He encouraged me. He inspired me. He checked me when he needed to. He let me use his wings until mine were strong enough to fly.”
Will also included a black-and-white photo of him and Quincy on set of The Fresh Prince.
If you didn’t know, Quincy served as a producer on The Fresh Prince and was the one that encouraged and set up an audition for Will.
