William Levy Speaks Out About Arrest After Being Released From Jail on Bond | William Levy | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

William Levy was greeted by a swarm of reporters while leaving the Broward County Jail on Tuesday evening (April 15) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The 44-year-old actor was arrested and booked the night before, on two charges – disorderly intoxication in a public place causing a disturbance, and trespassing.
While leaving the jail, William acted like he was going to bolt away from reporters, but quickly turned back and addressed those waiting, answering questions, and sharing more of what happened the night before, leading to his arrest.

William admitted he had been drinking, but he tried to step in to try and deescalate an argument.
“And all of a sudden, he started arguing with another guy and I just got in the middle, kind of de-escalate the situation, and I’m the one who ended up in handcuffs,” he could be heard telling reporters, via NBC 6 South Florida.
Per Hola!, the actor also denied he was the one to start the altercation, denied he assaulted a restaurant employee and refuted claims he acted aggressively.
“I tried to stay calm the whole time. In the end, I was the one who had to leave,” he said.
Of his night in jail, William joked, “It was normal, normal. I don’t know if I made great friends, but I did meet some new people.”
William posted a $500 bond to be released, a total of two fines, $250 for each charge. The judge also ordered he stay away from the location where he was accused of trespassing.
