Yankees’ Jasson Dominguez exits Sunday game at Dodger Stadium due to thumb injury

LOS ANGELES – Yankees left fielder Jasson Dominguez exited Sunday’s game at Dodger Stadium due to a left thumb contusion.
Dominguez was injured on a slide at second base, following a successful stolen base in the fifth inning. He eventually scored on DJ LeMahieu’s RBI single to left.
The switch-hitting outfielder played defensively in the Dodgers’ half of the fifth, but was lifted for pinch-hitter Cody Bellinger (who was hit by a pitch) in the sixth, with the Yankees leading 6-1.
Dominguez was 1-for-2 with a walk Sunday, and he got the Yankees’ scoring started with an RBI single off Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the first inning.
