The pies, which are actually sold frozen, are made for Aldi by a brand called The Village PieMaker, which is based in Omaha, Nebraska. Each pie is handcrafted and made from scratch, using just a handful of ingredients. In addition to a sweet-tart filling of strawberries and seasonal rhubarb, this delectable dessert also boasts a hand-crimped crust that crisps up beautifully in the oven.

And while the $14.99 price tag is a bit steep for Aldi, this pie weighs a whopping three pounds, meaning you’ll have a delicious dessert for days. Since it’s sold frozen, you’ll first need to bake it in a 350-degree oven (on a baking sheet) for approximately 75 to 90 minutes. You’ll know the pie is done cooking when the crust is golden brown and it has an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

According to the package instructions, the pie should cool for about an hour before you dig in. After that, this strawberry rhubarb dessert can be enjoyed solo.
